We’re PMR Charity

Helping those suffering from illness or accidents improve their quality of life.

There are people in our own community who can't afford the medicine they need or meet their insurance deductible costs. That means they forego treatment plans that will restore their health or prolong their life.

We're doctors and professionals in the medical field who see it every day. As we talk to patients and hear their stories, our hearts are stirred to provide practical help.

Like you, we want to make a difference in our local community. Every human is vulnerable to medical emergencies and illness. When these situations strike, there’s often no plan to make ends meet.

Financial burdens make people feel desperate and hopeless. We create ways to help.

Nearly 20 years ago, we started a nonprofit organization called PMR Charity Foundations Project. Our mission is to fill the gap with financial support for patients with economic burdens brought on by illness or injury.

Because of our donors, we've provided ...

Specialty Assistive Device

A young man suffered a traumatic brain injury and was struggling with walking. With the help of a specialty assistive device, he was able to regain some independence and improve his mobility.

COBRA Payment

Covering COBRA payments helped a patient continue their healthcare coverage and physical therapy. The patient was able to receive the ongoing care they needed to make progress in their recovery journey.

Augmentative
and Alternative Communication device

A child experienced a genetic difference that affected their ability to communicate effectively. An Augmentative and Alternative Communication device helped the child communicate more easily with their family, friends, and healthcare providers.

And Many Others

When financial burdens arise from medical situations or injuries, we step in to help patients focus on healing. We've made rent, utility, and car payments. Our foundation has funded prosthetic devices, insurance, deductibles, medication, and treatment plans. There's still more to do right here in North Texas.

What our Recipients say

I had an emergency amputation 14 years ago after suffering a spider bite. They tell me I died twice on the operating table. I’ve always been an active person but had no idea how to overcome this trial. That’s when PMR Charity stepped in. They treated me like a friend. The relationships and trust that we formed were as beneficial as the prosthetic they helped me get. It leaves you speechless when you see how genuinely they care for people who need help. Sharing your financial support with PMR Charity is THE way to make a huge difference in the lives of people in your community.
